| Green Efforts Last year we implemented new systems to lessen any negative environmental impact of the Midland Community Center’s Dow RunWalk on our beautiful city. This year we will continue many of those efforts! - Offering runners reusable race bags at Packet Pick-Up provided by State Farm - Tim Boychuck
- Prompting runners and walkers to register for races online.
- Utilizing in office recycling for all race related items (i.e. printing, cardboard etc…)
- Collection & utilization of email addresses again this year to continue to reduce our paper and printed advertising needs for next year's race.
- The use of recycled paper whenever possible.
- Asking runners, walkers and spectators to please be aware of the space around them. Help us keep Midland beautiful and green by putting trash in proper receptacles.
- Using lead/sweep cyclists versus automobiles (provided by area cycling clubs)
- Providing opportunity to recycle D or B-tags and Race Bibs, post-race
- Recycling water bottles post-race with the help of Midland Volunteers for Recycling
